Frequently asked questions
What is this hidden data?
Cameras store extra notes called EXIF: GPS, the camera model, and the time the shot was taken. You usually cannot see them just by looking at the picture.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Checking and cleaning happen in your browser.
Does this make the picture look different?
For JPG, PNG, and WebP, the picture itself stays the same. Only hidden notes are dropped. iPhone HEIC photos may need to be saved as JPG first, depending on your browser.
Should I still share the original?
Share the clean download, not the original, if you do not want the location attached.
